Doesn't really matter, but in the case of my self I can't stand gift giving at Christmas time. It has completely lost its essence.





Every year my rich Aunt and Uncle have a big Christmas Tree with thousands of dollars of presents for their already spoiled teenage and adult children, one of whom that just graduated from college on their dime, a while I am pretty sure they don't consider themselves Christians, I know they don't go to church.





Every year I can barely stop my self from screaming ';WHY THE F**K ARE YOU CELEBRATING A HOLIDAY YOU DO NOT EVEN BELIEVE IN';





It is all a corporate conspiracy anyway, but I do respect those who see past it.Sincere question, is it true, the Obama's don't give their kids presents, and why?
I don't know whether it's true or not, but it doesn't matter. They are not your children!





I know people who don't give gifts and their children turned out fine. They were taught that holidays are to be celebrated for what they represent instead of to seeng what you can get out of it.





I say if it's true, good for them! Everything is too commercialized these days. I'd much rather have gifts of love, compassion and time with my family than a barbie doll or something just as meaningless!
how does this have anything to do with the election......we are trying to stop all the trash talk about Palin's daughter. and we need to make sure that liberals understand that you can discuss politics with out bringing the kids into this......and yes I realize that you are not talking trash about the little Obama's. but we just don't need to be remotely close to discussing them.
This question isn't relevant, but it's true because the Obama's INSTEAD of presents, throw huge birthday slumber parties for their kids instead. However, ';Santa Claus'; is still allowed to deliver Christmas presents.
I read this too. It's a little unorthodox but they throw birthday parties for the kids (which probably cost a lot) so all the guests bring presents and the kids get plenty of gifts. Their gifts to the girls are the parties themselves.
