Exist, yes. Live a fulfilling life, not a chance. Too many people with their heads lodged in their rears. A renaissance man would have murder charges by day two.Question of today do you think a true renaissance person can exist today?
Well, if we're taking 'Renaissance Person' as being someone with wide interests, skilled in both the arts and the sciences, and with achievements in a number of fields - Yes.





It's probably a lot tougher for someone today as compared to during the Renaissance, mostly because of the vast breadth of knowledge available in many fields. Think of something like Physics or Geography as it was in 1600, and compare that to what they now encompass.





Human minds have only a finite capacity, and I suspect there are few who have the intellectual capability and the rigorous discipline needed to master several subjects.





There are also a great many modern distractions - TV, the Internet, the media, and the ruthless pace of day to day life in the industrialised world. All of these make it harder to find the time to cultivate knowledge and skills, and to avoid being distracted from that purpose.





In short, if you have someone with great self discipline, a strong and agile mind, and a strong sense of purpose, they might come close to the renaissance ideal of Homo Universalis, but such people will always be the exceptional few.

A renaissance person must know every form of art,literature,be well versed in all types of music,and basically just have an incredible amount of knowledge about the world as possible.The thing is,there are so many cultures today that i think to be a renaissance person, you would have to study tediously to know so much.Back in the renaissance time, people were spreading ideas and became renaissance people in their own continent but now the definition of renaissance person must be rewritten to accomodate other continents since we're no longer isolated to one place
