A question for true gamers?

What are some games that, regardless of age, must be played under any circumstance before you call yourself a gamer?A question for true gamers?
Basically, you need to play an RPG, MMORPG, FPS, Fighting, and a racing game to really be called a gamer, in my view. I've selected a few games for different consoles. Pretty much, you need to start off with the older stuff, and then go into stuff made in the late 1990s and early 2000s, then get into nowadays games.

BEFORE THE LATE 1990S

Super Mario Bros

- Super Nintendo Electronic System

Donkey Kong 64

- Nintendo 64

Super Smash Bros

- Nintendo 64

LATE 1990S AND EARLY 2000S

Halo : Combat Evolved

- Xbox

RuneScape

Super Smash Bros Melee

- GameCube

GunZ Online

Pokemon (any version)

- Nintendo Handhelds

Forza Motorsport

- Xbox

Fable

- Xbox

Need For Speed : Underground 2

- GameCube

EARLY TO LATE 2000S

Halo 2

- Xbox

Eragon

- Nintendo DS

Gears of War

- Xbox 360

Turok

- Xbox 360

Halo 3

- Xbox 360

As you can see, I am not a PlayStation or Call of Duty fan of any sort. Nintendo and Microsoft are my publishers, sorry.

After playing at least one game from each section, you can call yourself a real gamer.

Just so you know, these are my OPINIONS, these are NOT games that must be played to be considered a gamer. Really, all you have to do is play one very popular game, and know it very well.

TOKIOPOP MAKES A VERY GOOD STATEMENT.

...lol??? You don't have to play Pong! Games from back in the 80's when games hurt our eyes are not something you have to play to be a gamer! Games like Pac Man, Tetris, Tank, Pong, they all suck!

Start off with like in the middle 1990s with Pokemon, Donkey Kong, Mario, and possible Final Fantasy. Then jump into Halo!

You just experience in gaming every sort of video game, other than crappy back in the day ones.

Great Gaming,

K E R T ZA question for true gamers?
Haha, yeah.

1. Super Mario Brothers - THE ORIGINAL. Possibly the greatest game ever made.

2. Any [old] Sonic: The Hedgehog game, for the Sega. The new ones suuuck.

3. Halo. Come on, the Halo series is probably the widest know franchise in the gaming world, and I say that due to the fact that Mario and Sonic never made a [good] next-gen game. And other than CoD4, whose heard of Call of Duty?

4. Call of Duty 1-4. What can you say? All amazing games, even the first one.

5. NFL QB Club. For the Sega Genisis, actually had a drills challenge, which made it very advanced for a '96 game. And the gameplay was actually very fun, despite poor graphics.
I would try

Legends of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

God of War 1%26amp;2

Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3

Kingdom Hearts 1%26amp;2

Jak 1, 2, and 3

Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves

Resident Evil 1,2, 3, and especially 4

Halo 1, 2, and 3

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl

Zack %26amp; Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure

for some older games

Super mario world

Super mario RPG legend of the seven stars

Final Fantasy 7%26amp;8

Donkey Kong Country and Donkey kong 64

Legends of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask

Star Fox 64

Doom
for fps it's doom... oh wait.. gotta go back a ways.... one must start off with the grandpappy of the fps. that would be wolfenstein. then blake stone.. skip to doom then while you're at it to rott. then you can move on up to duke nukem.

that's a good start for the fps. but you must have the machines for it... the patches and the GL versions lose something in the process.

if you get a win 95 machine.. a 98 machine then a 2000 machine... put them up on your intranet.... get the games... then you're on your way to being a uber gamer.

i only enjoy fps on the network it's great blood shed. also speaking of.. don't forget to add blood to your gaming experience. (from the duke nukem folks 3d realms)
These aren't 'some games' as such but what should be played.

3 FPS's

2 open world games.

10 ps2/Xbox games

1 MMORPG(runescape included!)

POKEMON!

To have gone to a midnight launch of a game WITH the game prebooked for at least 2 weeks!

3 360/ps3 games

I feel this is reasonable as having a list of 15-20 games would be for a HARDCORE gamer, not a gamer in general!
its about diving into different levels of ';interactive media'; for example, some are saying that gamers don't just chat online, they chat in avatar form in interactive rooms.... (IMVU) http://nevacross.com/?utm_source=cdg%26amp;utm鈥?/a>

and they don't just play video games, they change the code and create an entirely different game out of them.
Play all these games, finish them with no cheats.

any Mario game, preferably the old stuff, need for speed, maybe even a little legend of Zelda, but being a true gamer is not just about WHAT games you play it is also HOW you play them.i think to be a true gamer you also have to have beaten x number of games.
You gotta go back to the beginning.

Pong. Must be played at least once.

Donkey Kong.

Super Mario

Zelda- Occarina of time

Final Fantasy

You get the drift. You have to play a bit of everything. At least try it.
play all types of games.shooting games, rpg, racing, fighting.it really dont matter. i play Halo 3, kingdom hearts 2, final fantasy.yes i am a true gamer
Not a game really, but games. The more consoles and games you have, the more of a gamer you are. The longer you play them, that's even better.
Mario, Donkey Kong, GTA, Halo, Half Life, Final Fantasy (At least FFVII and VIII), Dare to Dream, Sonic (possibly), Abes Exodus, Bioshock (but thats more recent)
