Question to Youth (and Adults) - Is it true that classic movies are selling out and getting a lot of money ?

Heard that classic movies from the 1900's until the 1960's and those GOOD movies in the 1970's until now ( 2010 ) are selling out =)





I'm glad that those horrible modern movies are becoming irrelevant





Crash , explosions , cussing and '' sex , sex , sex ''


Fake love ( not true love ) over and over again ... cliche and too '' modern '' sometimes

I really like the ';less is more'; attitude of a lot of classic films. They had limited special effects so they avoided shooting it - which made it more intense because you used you imagination - which is way more realistic than any special effect.


Plus because cinema was still [relatively] new back then everyone seemed to be trying something new and almost every movie had some kind of innovation that progressed the medium.


I love old film noirs, The Third Man is possibly my favourite, I love the constantly angled shot set ups and the glistening streets.





These days mainstream films have settled into a rather dull and rapidly stagnating rut - they're all the same. Broad brush strokes, one dimensional characters and big explosions. I'm sure there are still good directors experimenting with their art and making good films - but the mainstream players won't give them the exposure they deserve - all because of the money. They claim that ';intelligent'; films won't sell - completely missing the point that it is possible for an ';intelligent'; film to also be entertaining.





For a while it was an artform, then it was a profitable artform and now it's just a business.Question to Youth (and Adults) - Is it true that classic movies are selling out and getting a lot of money ?
i really like horror , i do like some classic a lot of the modern comedy movies drama movies all it is is sex, thats part of the reason i started to watch action and horror they have the nude stuff thats not too bad , the men running around in the comedys and drama is just stupid they ruin a good movie with stupid crap one of my fave classic movies is old yeller .
